8th:  Today we read another chapter or two of Pobre Ana and played a review game of Chutes and Ladders.  Please continue to study for 1/2 hour each night all of the vocab and grammar between U1 – U5.1.

7th grade:  Tomorrow is your Listening comprehension portion of the Final Exam.   There are links to the three Unit 2 study guides on the April 19th Blog entry.  Here are links to the study guides from U1E1 study guide level 1,  U1E2 study guide level 11  and U1E3 study guide level 1

HW:  Make sure you finish your packet you received Monday for HOMEWORK!  Friday is our Final Exam multiple choice.

8th grade:  If you were not in class today you MUST make up your writing PBA either tomorrow morning or after school.  I’ll be in school at 7:30 for makeups.  Don’t forget to complete your U3 worksheets for Homework, as well as Pobre Ana, chapters 2 – 3.  We will play a board game tomorrow for review and get more worksheets to help you review U4.

7th grade:  Help session tomorrow AM at 7:45.  Our listening comprehension portion of our final exam is Thursday and our multiple choice section is this Friday.  The packet you received in class on Monday is due as homework at the start of class on tomorrow.

8th:  Today we did a review worksheet on Unit 3.  For homework, finish your worksheet and prepare a paragraph in which you describe yourself, your family and what you and other people in your family like to do in your ‘tiempo libre’ (free time).   Tell me at when you do different things based on the season of year or the weather.

7th grade: Today we reviewed vocabulary from Unit 1 and we received a worksheet to help review for Thursday & Friday’s test.  Listening comprehension is Thursday and the Multiple choice is Friday.

8th: Today we did quiet reading of Pobre Ana and will read aloud on Friday.   Tomorrow is the CRCE day and you are expected to bring in an item to share with the class as well as its ingredients.  I appreciate all of the parents who are out getting items you need for this event.  If you have any questions, see me in the morning.  Make sure you label everything with your name & class period with Sharpie.

HW:  By Friday, you should have done all of the questions from sections A&B for Pobre Ana, chapter 1 as well as written a paragraph describing yourself and your family.  How does your family compare to that of Ana’s.   The book can be viewed as a Prezi on my blog last week.  Our next portion of the final exam is this Tuesday, May 8.

 

7th:  Today we did our official PBA speaking Final.  Tomorrow we will practice verb conjugations and read a story about Chicharrones.  Our final exam dates are May 10 – 11.  Keep studying vocabulary and check out the study guides posted the second week of April.

8th:  Today you did a speaking PBA and the listening comprehension portion of your final exam.  Continue to study daily for your final exam and your writing PBA!  We will read Pobre Ana in class and El Viaje de su Vida as well as learn the preterite tense this week.

7th grade:  Today we did the writing PBA and practiced speaking in a PBA format.  Continue to review units 1 & 2 in preparation of your final exam.

8th grade:  Today we read Pobre Ana and did some listening comprehension exercises from Mas Practica.  Your final exams are quickly approaching.  Most of the exam is based on Units 3 – 5.1 and here is a  Study Guide -8th grade year end review you can print to help you study.  (It’s long so I would print 2 pages / sheet)!  Some of it will not be on the final, preterite tense and vocab from 5.2 – 5.3, but you can look it over for next year!

HW:  Answer A & B on Pobre Ana worksheet and then write a paragraph describing your family and a friend and compare your ‘problems’ with Ana’s problems.

7th grade:  Big Unit 2 test tomorrow.  Look over blog entries to find study guides posted during CRCT week & use them to help you study.  do the classzone practice quizzes for U2E1 – U2E3.  Write 3 sentences using sequencing words to describe three different boxes of pictures from today’s handout.

8th grade:  Please read the following Prezi link of the Pobre Ana story.   Use this Prezi to answer the questions from sections A & B from today’s handout.  Start thinking about what foods you want to bring

7th grade:  Our Unit 3 test is Friday!  Make sure you are using the study guides posted two weeks ago to help you prepare.  Make sure you know all of the verbs on page 167 and how to conjugate them!  Verbs with irregular yo forms are found on pp. 157-58.  Verbs that end in -er and -ir can be found on page 155.  Verbs that end in -ar are on page 109.  Make sure you know how to conjugate Oír on p. 158.

8th:  Today we took a test on U5E1 commands & reflexive verbs.  Tonight’s homework is to start researching a dish you might want to prepare and share for our CRCE day with a partner.  Our CRCE day is Thursday, May 3.

7th:  Today we practiced verb conjugations from Unit 2.  Our test is Friday.  HW is to finish 1/2 sheet on video comprehension as well as complete the WS on irregular ‘yo’ verbs and read over the difference between VER & MIRAR.

8th grade:  Today we reviewed the reflexive verbs, commands, the  body parts and vocab.   We also read an article on Pablo Picasso on p. 338 -39  and discovered that not only did he speak castellano (español), but also catalán (the language of Barcelona) and frances (since he lived in France as an adult).

Our U5E1 test is tomorrow – study ALL of the vocab on pp. 343 and the grammar on pp. 330 – 334.

7th grade:  Today we did a worksheet on the verbs hacer, conocer & oír from pp. 157 – 158.  They are irregular in the yo form only.  We also wrote out act. 18, 158 and act. 16, p. 157.

HW:  Read over your SABER vs. CONOCER handout and do the backside by Wednesday.  Finish the classwork on the verbs mentioned above by tomorrow if you didn’t hand it in during class.
