8th grade:  I’ll check HW APT 121 – 22 on Monday.  Chapter test U4E3 Wednesday.

7TH GRADE:  Today we created questions to ask Sra. Haak about her family.  On Monday we will ask those questions and peer edit some papers about our families that we worked on over the Thanksgiving break.

8th grade:  Quiz tomorrow on all vocab p. 315, e – i verbs, traer, gustar and be able to produce the word in Spanish for the English on affirmative / negative vocab. p. 302.

HW:  APT p. 121- 122; finish writing act. 10, p. 302

We will have our chapter test on Wednesday after all.

DICHO: Vale mas tarde que nunca.

7th grade:  Read La Quinceañera p. 88.

DICHO:  Antes de hablar es bueno pensar.

30 noviembre

8th:  Complete p. 104 MP and make sure you have 3 sentences for each verb we conjugated today.

7th:  Chapter exam is this Wednesday.  HW is to write the descriptions of six members of your extended family, including birthdates, ages, physical descriptions and personality.  Use possessive adjectives to say how they are related to you and other people you describe.

8th grade:  Do flashcards / word lists for the first two columns on p. 315 to prepare for a vocab quiz on Friday.  Jr. Beta kids should study grammar and activities surrounding gusta vs. gustan p. 300 and do APT p. 118 -119, activities 1 & 2.

7th grade:  We did activity 12 p. 81 to use possessive ‘de’ and then moved onto possessive adjectives p. 82.  We did activities 13 – 15.  HW:  MP. p. 31 and APT p. 27 – 28.

8th grade:  Today we finished up the PBA dialogs and you had time in class to do tonight’s homework:  Picture flashcards for the food, drinks, desserts & place settings p. 315; write a dialog between a waiter & client from vocabulary p. 315; do activities 6 – 8 in Mas Practica p. 99 – 100; Read En Contexto p. 295 & answer the preguntas personales.

7th grade:  Oops – I gave you a crossword practice sheet for homework without the questions for the vertical words.  I’ll make sure to give that to you tomorrow.  We will have our quiz tomorrow on the family and numbers from p. 93.  Also study adjectives relating to age such as joven, viejo, menor and mayor.

8th grade:  Today we did our written PBA.  HW  is to make picture flashcards from p. 319 vocab for place settings, food, beverages, and desserts.  By Friday you will prepare a dialogue between a waiter & client using vocabulary from p. 315.

7th grade:   HW: Crucigram for family & numbers.

8th:  Study the vendor & client phrases and be prepared to dialog with Sra. Haak in class tomorrow for a PBA grade.  You will be given the role of vendor or client and you will have to choose an item from my props to negociate for.

7th:  Study for a quiz on Tuesday on family members and how to say how old someone is.  Memorize your numbers p. 79 and family members vocab.  If you were absent, please watch the En Contexto video p. 72

4 noviembre 2009

8th grade:  Test tomorrow.  HW  APT 112 & 114.  Friday you will have a speaking PBA on haggling in the market.  You will either be the vendor or buyer.

7th grade:  MP 27.  Study family vocabulary.

29 octubre

Tomorrow if your homework is complete (MP 95-96) you can participate in the mini market skits.  For this to be successful, you need to bring in items to sell.  If you bring in food, all items must be individually wrapped in plastic to maintain hygiene.  Ingredients must be made available as well for classmates with allergies.  I will give the chapter exam next Thursday so that we are comfortable with the vocabulary and language by then.  Continue to study your flashcards evey night for best results.  Don’t forget to bring in hand sanitizer!

7th grade:  Due to some technical difficulties and seat changes in class, we were unable to complete our PBA.  I promise to record you first thing tomorrow!

7th grade:  Here’s that Spanish Clothing Vocabulary to memorize new words.  I made some changes to the words posted on the board today so make sure you are aware of those changes.

8th grade: HW  write out 2 sentences for each verb listed on p. 288.  Here’s the Study Guide that you need to look over tonight.  We will have a marketday on Friday if you can use the vendor & client lines correctly!
