I am sorry to have not posted this sooner!  Homework tonight was Mas Practica p. 100 – 101.  You have a quiz tomorrow on vocabulary for ordering at a restaurant as well as the grammar point GUSTAR, p. 300 in the text book.

Today we worked with the En Vivo dialogue and did activities 3 & 4 from the textbook.  The homework tonight is to practice your flashcards from classzone.com (the vocabulary is on page 315 in the book).  We will have a quiz on Tuesday that covers the vocabulary and the verb gustar from the grammar box on page 300.

Homework tonight – you can do this online! Read EN VIVO dialogue and answer Part A questions.  Dialogue starts on p. 296; Part A is on p. 298.

If you are out Thurs and Friday, please go ahead and watch the video, do listening activity #4, p. 299.  Look over activities 5 – 7, writing out #6.  Make sure you learn the new grammar point on p. 300.

Homework tonight is Mas Practica p. 99.  You can refer to your vocabulary list in the back of the workbook or do flashcards online classzone.com (classzone.com/eservices) to learn the new vocabulary.  We have a short day tomorrow so we will spend it learning the new vocabulary words together.

We just finished our U4E2 exam and chapter and will start the new unit on food and ordering in a restaurant.  Tonight you will start learning the new vocabulary in En Contexto p. 294 – 95.  Answer the five Preguntas Personales.  Don’t forget that you can access your textbook online by clicking on textbook from the November 14 blog entry and put in your user name & password.

Exam is MONDAY!  Here is the link for registering for the textbook online.  You should have registered for access to this site today in class.  In order to complete the registration you need the code I gave you today in the computer lab.  You need to write down your user name and password in your agenda so you can access the textbook online at home.

If you’re entering the site from home, enter your user name and password then once you’re in click on the En Espanol Level 1embedded link, and then click on the blue tab ‘book’ above.  Go to unit 4 En Oaxaca.  Use the jump to page button to review the following activities we’ve already done in class:  p. 276 #3; p. 279 #7; p. 282 #12; p. 288 #2 & p. 289 #4.

With the online textbook you can now watch or listen to videos that you might have missed in class.  If you need additional practice, listen to the En Vivo dialogue on p. 274, Activity 10 p. 279 and pronunciacion #18 on p. 285.

Today in class we finished up the skits, reviewed vocabulary via flashcards, and reviewed activities to get ready for the exam.  Don’t forget to learn the dicho: El que mucho duerme poco aprende.

Homework for tonight is to write out five sentences about which gifts you purchase for 5 people when you go to the market in Oaxaca.  Refer to activity #1 on p. 112 APT for an acceptable sentence format.  Also refer to page 265 U4E1 to write down two tourist sites you are going to visit in Oaxaca.  Also don’t forget to complete the readings assigned on Wednesday from (APT 114 – 15).

DICHO:  El que mucho duerme poco aprende.

Reminder your exam is on Monday!  Make sure you study this week & over the weekend!  Your homework for tonight is APT 114 & 115.  Read & answer carefully.  You will have a section on the exam with a similar reading.

Homework for tonight:  Answer in complete sentences the first six questions from the reading on page 286 – 87 in the textbook regarding the art of ‘regatear’.  You should be practicing your dialogues with your partners so that you are ready to present tomorrow and Thursday.

Homework for Monday was APT blue, p. 112.

Your Chapter exam is on Monday, November 17.  Practice the quizzes on Classzone.com and make sure you can do all of the En Uso exercises on pages 288 – 89 as a good review.

Today we got together with partners to construct dialogs that we will present this Monday – Wednesday.  The powerpoint I showed you in class with various phrases was posted on the blog yesterday.  Here is the rubric that you should print out and bring to class on Monday.  If you want to bring in various items for the market that meet our criteria please feel free.

Our U4E2 Chapter EXAM is scheduled for Thursday so start reviewing soon.  On Friday we will go to the 8th grade computer lab and type up letters to Grandma in which we describe a walk through the Benito Juarez market in Oaxaca.  In our letters we will describe the products for sale as well as the what we purchase for four different people.  You will purchase alebrije for your Grandma so be prepared to describe your creation!
