7th grade:  HW:  Prepare flashcards for the first two columns of vocabulary from p. 121.  You will have a quiz tomorrow on subjects and classroom objects & verbs based on those words.  Make sure you know how to conjugate AR verbs into all subject pronoun forms.

8th grade:  We finsihed our listening Midterm today & will write skits   tomorrow in class.  You should have a skit prepared to bring to class tomorrow that you can work from in your group.

7th grade:  Today we learned how to conjugate AR verbs & will do lots more on that tomorrow.  HW: MP p. 37 & finish MP p. 35, conjugate one AR verb from p. 109 & write it in a sentence. Bring flashcards tomorrow to write up in class.   Vocab quiz on Thursday to cover classroom objects, subjects and some AR verbs.

8th grade:  We did the written Midterm exam today.  Tomorrow you will do the PBA listening component for a grade.  Make-ups are tomorrow at 7:45 & after school.  Tomorrow in class we will write dialogs for restaurant skits & learn about mexican food & table manners.

8th grade:  Your midterm is tomorrow and the best way to study is to review vocab on pp. 315, 291 & 269.  Also do act. 1 & 5 (p.312 – 313); Act. 2 & 4 (p. 288 – 289); Act. 2 & 3 (p. 266-67).  I also handed out an extra worksheet today in class to help with some of the grammar points in this Unit 4.  If you didn’t have a chance to play the Jeopardy game in class today, it was posted last Friday and it is a good review.  Make sure you read over cultural notes about Oaxaca in all three chapters & review the grammar on commands, conjugating o – ue verbs,  & e -i verbs.  Also practice using IOP’s with verb s such as comprar, servir & gustar.   Make ups are offered Tuesday & Wednesday after school, Wednesday at 7:45 AM & in 8th period Tuesday with Sra. Mostajo’s class.

7th grade:  HW tonight is MP p. 35 act. 7 & 8.  Study your vocabulary for classes & classroom objects as we will have a quiz on Thursday that covers that vocabulary.  I should have all family tree branches & pictures by Wednesday!

8th grade: Today we had a test on Gustar & the affirmative & negative words.  Make sure you follow the study guide handed out in class (it is also on the previous Blog Entry) and read all the cultural notes referenced.  HW is to write out the missing word of Act. 1, p. 312.   Since this test covers all three chapters in this unit IV, I recommend you review the vocabulary lists and the En Uso pages found in the back of each chapter just prior to the vocab lists.     Here is a Jeopardy game you can play to test your knowledge of this unit.  Your test is on Tuesday.  Makeups are after school on Tuesday or before school on Wednesday at 7:30.  (Tumbling team members can also take it on Tuesday during 7th or 8th period with the permission of their teacher).  Please make advanced arrangements if this affects you.

7th grade:  By now you should have finished your paper describing you and two family members.  Make sure you turn in your rubric and your branch of your family tree with pictures of ONLY the people you are describing by Monday.  If you didn’t finish your project in class, have a finished project by Monday for me to collect.

8th grade:  Do Act. 16 – 17, p. 103 MP and write outadjective extremes on half sheet.  Here’s  the Midterm Material for page references for midterm scheduled for Tuesday 12/15.  Our test Friday will cover affirmative / negative words & gustar.

7th:  We’ll be in the lab again tomorrow to finish typing our family descriptions.  You will need to have your tree branch done by Friday along with pictures of the people you are describing.

8th grade:  Your chapter test has been pushed back to this Friday rather than tomorrow and will cover the verb gustar and the affrimative / negative words.  You should also study everything on the vocab p. 315, especially what a waiter or client would say in the restaurant.  Our midterm is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15.  It will cover all of unit IV.  HW:  MP p. 102 (13 – 15).  Make the affirmative sentences negative!  If you didn’t do APT 121 – 22, do it for practice!

7th :  Big project tomorrow in computer lab.  Bring your books, and supplementary vocab sheet on family & adjectives.  Family ‘branch is due tomorrow – I expect a neat version of the family branch with 3 photos by Monday.  If you want to save family pictures to a flash drive you can do so & bring it to class tomorrow.

8th grade:  I’ll check HW APT 121 – 22 on Monday.  Chapter test U4E3 Wednesday.

7TH GRADE:  Today we created questions to ask Sra. Haak about her family.  On Monday we will ask those questions and peer edit some papers about our families that we worked on over the Thanksgiving break.

8th grade:  Quiz tomorrow on all vocab p. 315, e – i verbs, traer, gustar and be able to produce the word in Spanish for the English on affirmative / negative vocab. p. 302.

HW:  APT p. 121- 122; finish writing act. 10, p. 302

We will have our chapter test on Wednesday after all.

7th:  Big Exam Tomorrow.  Study U1E3 pp. 90-93.   Unit Test will be the following Tuesday, Dec. 10.

8th:  STUDY for Quiz on Friday to include all vocab p. 315, stem changing verbs plus TRAER, GUSTAR and know the meanings of the affirmative / negative words on p. 302.

Tonight write out all negative / affirmative words p. 302.  If you still need to register for the book online, go to the Sept. 30 blog entry & follow instructions.

30 noviembre

8th:  Complete p. 104 MP and make sure you have 3 sentences for each verb we conjugated today.

7th:  Chapter exam is this Wednesday.  HW is to write the descriptions of six members of your extended family, including birthdates, ages, physical descriptions and personality.  Use possessive adjectives to say how they are related to you and other people you describe.
