8th grade:  Today most of the class negotiated with Sra. Haak for a PBA grade while their classmates wrote dialogs and practiced negotiating with classmates.  On Monday we will practice writing for the Tuesday PBA Writing.

7th:  Today we wrote out activities 3 – 5, p. 77 after watching the En Vivo video.  We also learned the verb TENER & reviewed numbers 1 – 100.   We will have a quiz on Tuesday on Age, Family.  HW is to write out 6 sentences about various people in your family and their relationship to you, their name & their age in written form.  ie:  Mi padre se llama George.  Tiene setenta anos.

8th:  Study the vendor & client phrases and be prepared to dialog with Sra. Haak in class tomorrow for a PBA grade.  You will be given the role of vendor or client and you will have to choose an item from my props to negociate for.

7th:  Study for a quiz on Tuesday on family members and how to say how old someone is.  Memorize your numbers p. 79 and family members vocab.  If you were absent, please watch the En Contexto video p. 72

8th grade:  Test tomorrow.  HW  APT 112 & 114.  Friday you will have a speaking PBA on haggling in the market.  You will either be the vendor or buyer.

7th grade:  MP 27.  Study family vocabulary.

8th grade:  Today we created songs using the verbs from p. 278 (o – ue) stem changers to the french song “Brother John”.  HW APT p. 110- 111.  If you want to work ahead I will assign APT p. 112  & 114 tomorrow.

7th grade:  If you were absent please make sure you watch the video En Contexto through your online text p. 73 and answer the questions from that page.  We reviewed family member names and numbers and the verb tener.  We expanded descriptions for people family relationships and I’ll print out the list by tomorrow.  HW p. 27 MP.

8th grade: HW is APT p. 108 – 109.  Your U4E2 chapter exam is on Thursday.  We watched a brief video on Dia de los muertos.

7th grade:

1st year Spanish students – Make Flashcards for U1E3.

2nd year students – write out words for family memory then correct your memory & spelling.  Seek out new words for extended family members and adjectives to describe them.  Write out an extended description of personality & physical features for 4 family members.

8th: Great Market day practice today.  Here’s a Haak- regatear if you thirst for more!  November 1 – 2 is Day of the Dead.  Enjoy the photos.  Chapter Exam is Thursday.  We have a new dicho:  A caballo regalado no le mires al diente. Older dichos:  “Antes de hablar es bueno pensar”.  & “El que mucho duerme poco aprende”.   All three dichos will be offered as extra credit on your upcoming exam on Thursday.

7th:  We will read over our celebrity descriptions and learn about Day of the Dead on Monday.

Tomorrow if your homework is complete (MP 95-96) you can participate in the mini market skits.  For this to be successful, you need to bring in items to sell.  If you bring in food, all items must be individually wrapped in plastic to maintain hygiene.  Ingredients must be made available as well for classmates with allergies.  I will give the chapter exam next Thursday so that we are comfortable with the vocabulary and language by then.  Continue to study your flashcards evey night for best results.  Don’t forget to bring in hand sanitizer!

7th grade:  Due to some technical difficulties and seat changes in class, we were unable to complete our PBA.  I promise to record you first thing tomorrow!

8th grade:  Write an original mini dialogue between a vendor and a client using new vocabulary and the phrases from the Study Guide.  If you didn’t write out 10 sentences from the verbs on page 278, please make sure you do that for tomorrow.  HW for Thursday night is  MP 95 – 96.

7th grade:  Today we practiced verbal descriptions of what people look like and what they are wearing.  We will do the Speaking PBA for a grade tomorrow.   HW tonight is APT p. 25.

7th grade:  Here’s that Spanish Clothing Vocabulary to memorize new words.  I made some changes to the words posted on the board today so make sure you are aware of those changes.

8th grade: HW  write out 2 sentences for each verb listed on p. 288.  Here’s the Study Guide that you need to look over tonight.  We will have a marketday on Friday if you can use the vendor & client lines correctly!

8th grade:  Homework is p. 288 #1.  You can access the book online through classzone.com/eservices.  If you have forgotten your id or password, you can see me prior to school.  Your quiz tomorrow is on vocabulary & indirect object pronouns.

7th grade:  Today we wrote our PBA’s in class describing our celebrity.  We also practiced a speaking PBA.  Tonight’s homework is to study the Spanish Clothing Vocabulary to describe people & their clothing.
